The Ballard Bungalow is a heritage home, now converted into a hotel owned by the Cochin Diocese.
Originally built by the Dutch, Ballard Bungalow was later taken over by the British and used to accommodate high ranking officers. The last such occupant was Mr. Ballard, the Honourable Collector of Cochin. That is how the hotel got its name.
The hotel is now owned by the Cochin Diocese and being run as a heritage hotel. The management is taking every effort to ensure that the rich and colourful history of the building was preserved, while converting it into a heritage hotel.
