Mr Bhagwaldas the present resident owner has maintained the heritage and traditions of the ancient family. He is the fifth generation resident owner of Kandath Tharavad. This two hundred year old gem of domestic architecture constructed primarily in mud and teak in 1794 by Mr. Kuppavelan, the Great, Great Grandfather, of the Mr Bhagwaldas is well maintained and preserved. Mr Bhagwaldas likes to meet and interact with people and has a sound knowledge of the culture and traditions of the area. A traditional land owner, organic farming methods are used in the Tharavad farm, as has been done since two centuries.
