Kerala Kalamandalam was established in 1930 to promote & develop classical performing arts, and now serves as a centre of excellence in Indian Performing Arts; highlighting the traditions from the State of Kerala.
‘A Day with the Masters' is a Cultural Tourism Package that was a winner of the National Tourism Award in 2005 & a recipient of Honorable Mention from PATA Gold Awards. During this tour, participants will be guided through a number of Kalaris (dance classes) with Kalamandalam students as your tour guides. If you are lucky some of the resident ‘gurus' may join your tour to give you further insight into the wonder & history of the traditional performing arts of the region.
This is a half day tour (9.30am - 1pm) which includes audio visual presentations on the history of the Kalamandalam; refreshments & traditional lunch; as well as witnessing a number of other cultural dances and art forms.
Kalamandalam welcomes contributions from philanthropists. All donations and contributions should be made in the name of Kerala Kalamandalam, and a receipt will be given. Please contact the Project Executive for further details
